China has begun full operation of a 24-megawatt underwater data center housing 2,000 servers powered entirely by offshore wind and passively cooled by ocean water, achieving both energy efficiency and carbon-neutral infrastructure.
The facility demonstrates advanced thermal and power architecture for large-scale AI compute, relevant to infrastructure-constrained deployments where traditional cooling and grid capacity create bottlenecks.
