OpenAI has announced that its models, Codex coding agent, and Managed Agents framework are now available on Amazon Web Services, giving enterprise customers the ability to deploy OpenAI capabilities directly within their existing AWS infrastructure and data residency controls.
The move deepens OpenAI's cloud-distribution strategy beyond its Azure-first relationship and puts its agentic stack in front of AWS's dominant enterprise install base — a significant channel expansion for IT leaders evaluating where to run production AI workloads.
