Mistral AI has introduced Workflows, a new product aimed at enterprise AI orchestration that lets teams chain model calls, tools, and data sources into multi-step automated pipelines — putting Mistral in direct competition with LangChain, Vertex AI Pipelines, and AWS Step Functions for AI.
The launch signals Mistral's push up the stack from model provider to platform, a strategic shift that could improve margins and customer retention but will require it to win on developer tooling against more established orchestration ecosystems.
